I have always been a people person and loved pushing my friends/family to be their best selves!
WHAT EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERTISE DO YOU BRING TO YOUR ROLE?
I received my degree in Communication which means I am able to pick up on non-verbal cues and tell when patients are down without them necessarily telling me.
WHO/WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
The patients at THIRA and my friends and family! I am so lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful people in my life.
WHAT IS ONE SMALL THING PEOPLE CAN DO TO IMPROVE THEIR LIVES AND INCREASE THEIR HAPPINESS?
Make sure to set boundaries and put yourself first. Remember saying no is not always a bad thing!

WHAT LED YOU TO PURSUE A CAREER HELPING OTHERS?
I think it was the way my family showed care and support for others. Since I was little I always wanted my career to be something that involved helping others in one way or another.
WHAT EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERTISE DO YOU BRING TO YOUR ROLE?
I got my degree in psychology from UW where I worked closely with a Professor who focused on the psychobiology of women. After graduating I worked as a Juvenile Rehabilitation Counselor at a Correctional Facility using DBT.

My mom.
