Frequently Asked Questions
Is THIRA Health Covered By My Insurance Plan?
We are in-network and contracted with most major insurance providers to help patients access care while minimizing out of pocket expenses. Because every insurance / health plan is different, the most accurate information about out-of-pocket costs will come directly from your insurance provider. For your convenience, we have provided links and phone numbers to our in-network insurance plans. Each of these will require your personal login.
What will I owe?
The amount you will owe depends on your plan benefits, such as copay, coinsurance, individual and family deductible amounts, as well as the type and length of services received. Contact your insurance customer service representative directly, to better understand your insurance policy and mental health benefits.
When contacting your insurance company, consider the following questions:
- Do you have a PPO, EPO, or HMO?
- Does my insurance require a prior authorization for mental health intensive outpatient and/or partial hospitalization services?
- If yes, what happens if visits are not authorized?
- Are there exclusions (care not covered by your policy)?
- Are there travel restrictions limiting you to certain facilities for care?
- If your insurance plan is determined to be out-of-network, do I still have coverage?
- If so, does my deductible and out-of-pocket maximum change?
