Join THIRA Health for breakfast as we dive into a four-part series focusing on DBT led by world-renowned DBT expert, Dr. Kathryn Korslund.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a comprehensive, cognitive-behavioral treatment for individuals with multiple, complex, and difficult to treat disorders. Developed for acutely and chronically suicidal individuals with emotional dysregulation, interpersonal chaos, impulsiveness, confusion about the self (identity) and cognitive rigidity, DBT has been found to be effective for a wide range of clinical problems such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders and substance use problems.
At the conclusion of this 3-hour presentation, attendees will be able to:
- Describe the evidence-base for DBT skills for specific populations and clinical problems.
- Identify skills from each of the four skills modules taught in DBT.
- Discuss principles in selecting DBT skills to integrate into clinical practice.
